Edgar Bruce

Edgar R. Bruce, 89, of Magness died Friday, July 13, 2007 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born on September 18, 1917 at Sulphur Rock, Arkansas the son of Thomas Jefferson and Della Corary (Casey) Bruce. He was a retired truck driver and farmer, a United States Army veteran and of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eva Mae Bruce, his second wife, Barbara Wayne Bruce, and two sisters, Wilma Wood and Vida Bruce.Survivors include two daughters, Carole kay Mitchell and Sherry Gail Sabatino both of Covington, Georgia; one step son, Glenn Dodd of Early Branch, South Carolina; one brother, William Leon Bruce of Batesville; two sisters, Gladys Baggett of Mississippi and Janet McCullough of Maryland; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
