Lionel Lopez age 18 of Poughkeepsie died Friday September 21, 2007 at Batesville. He was born December 20, 1988 at Corpus Christi, TX to Rogelio and dMariana (Ayala) Lopez. He was a senior at Cave City High School.Survivors include his father Rogelio Lopez of Bath, Pennsylvania and his mother Mariana Lopez of Poughkeepsie, five brothers George Mendoza of Batesville, Joaquin Salinas of Dallas, TX, Luis Mendoza of Houston, TX, Roger Lopez of Cave City and Efraim Lopez of Poughkeepsie, two sisters Leslie Mendoza of Cave City and Nancy Barker of Batesville, his grandmother Marcelina Lopez of Durango, Mexico, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.Memorial services will be held Tuesday September 25, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cave City Middle School Gymnasium with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Nathan Rogers officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.Honorary pallbearers are Justin Frazier, Tyler Little, Jonathan Hunter, Charles Frazier, George Mendoza and Travis Barker.
