Izena Lanell Welch

Izena Lanell Welch age 87 of Batesville died Friday October 5, 2007 at the Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City. She was born March 23,2 007 at Sandtown, Arkansas to Levi and Effie (Shoemaker) Gifford. She was a retired housekeeper for the White River Medical Center in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Judson Welch, one infant son, Robert Carlton Welch, one brother, Luther Gifford and one sister Estelle Coles.Survivors include one daughter, Verbelene Blumberg of Batesville, two grandchildren, Debbie Davis of Cave City and Billy Platt of Batesville, four great grandchildren, Leann Fleetwood of Cave City, Chad Gengo of Columbia, Missouri, Kurt Platt of Batesville and Pam Baxter of Locust Grove, two great great grandchildren, Tyler Foust of Cave City adn Blake Baxter of Locust Grove, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday October 9, 2007 at 2:0 p.m. at teh First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Fuenral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday October 8, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbeaerers will be Curtis COles, Billy Hall, Jimmy Davis, Billy Davis, David Davis and Bobby Davis.
