Elsie Ada Guthrie

Elsie Ada Guthrie age 96 of Batesville died Saturday November 10, 2007 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home inBatesville Where she had been a resident for several years. She had lived with Dollie Hix and the late William (Henry) Hix, a nephew, before going to the nursing home. She was born March 22, 1911 at Charlotte, Arkansas to James Gile and Elsie Mae Wiltrout. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Griff Hawkins and Oscar Guthrie, two sisters, Mercy Tressie Sims and Aleata Mae Hix, one brother, Adam Wiltrout and several nieces and nephews.Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
