Donah (Bertie) Mullen Kay age 97 of Strawberry died Sunday November 11, 2007 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 5, 1910 at Jesup, Arkansas to J. L. and Tinty Mullen. She married Floyd Kay in 1929 and lived most of her life in Strawberry where she and her husband owned Kay's Grocery and Station. She was a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church at Strawberry.She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Ella Mae Oliver, one great grandson Eric Watkins, five brothers and three sisters.Survivors include one daughter Nina Kay Richey, two sons-in-law W. C. Richey and Miles A. Oliver all of Strawberry, one sister Imai Hoggard of Oxnard, CA, four grandsons Ted Oliver of Batesville, Don Richey and Randy Richey both of Strawberry and Ronald Richey of Agnos, one granddaughter Bobbi Geurin of Strawberry, one great grandson Justin Richey of Strawberry, three great granddaughters Kelsey Richey of Strawberry, Brandi Miller of Jonesboro and Amanda Johnson of Little Rock, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday November 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jerusalem Baptist Church located at Strawberry. Burial will follow at the Lancaster Cemetery located at Strawbery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday November 13, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Ted Oliver, Don Richey, Ronald Richey, Randy Richey, Justin Richey and Miles Oliver.Honorary pallbearers are Bobbi Geurin, Kelsey Richey, Brandi Miller and Amanda Johnson.
