Virgie Elizabeth Matlock

Virgie Elizabeth (Finney)Matlock age 87 of Cave City died Monday November 26, 2007 at the Cave City Nursing Home. She was born May 3, 1920 at Batesville, Arkansas to Luther and Ellen (Cummings) Finney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Matlock Road Church of God in Cave City.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fate Matlock, two brothers Ledford Finney and Leonard Finney and one sister Erma Melton.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Vaughn and Mert Matlock, a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Marshall Goff all of Cave City, three sisters Hildia Greshner of St. Louis, MO, Ethel Tamson of Tehachapi, CA and Irene French of Cave City, a sister-in-law Geneva Finney of Batesville, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday November 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Ralph Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cav eCity Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday November 27, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Ryan Roberts, Reid Womack, Tony Goff, Greg Goff, Richard Hawkins II, Bobby Brown and Paul D. Brown.
