Charles Daniel 'Danny' Farris Sr. age 54 of Cave City passed away Thursday December 13, 2007 at his home. He was born January 3, 1953 at Batesville, Arkansas to Osko William Farris and Ida Ruth Causby Farris Gann. He was a machinist at White-Rodgers in Batesville. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, and was catcher of the P.Y.T. team that played in the Men's Softball League for many years. He was of the Southern Baptist faith.He was preceded in deth by his parents, two brothers, Willie Osko Farris and Woodrow Wilson Farris, two sisters, Loretta Christine Richards and Berthie Farris, one nephew Jimmy Richards.Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Debra Ann Pace Farris, two sons, Charles Daniel Farris, Jr. of Melbourne and Christopher Lamar Farris of Cave City, three sisters, Linda Wilson and Kathy Farris both of Melbourne and Regina Swaim of Southside, one grandson, Christopher Lamar farris II of Spring Lake, North Carolina, seventeen nieces and nine nephews, several great nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, loads of cousins and ah ost of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday December 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. John Griffin and Bro. Robert Randolph officiating. Burial will follow in the Weaver's Chapel Cemetery located north of Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Pallbearers will be Calvin 'Hooter' Wilson, David Wilson, Willie 'Grumpy Farris, Jr., John Farris, Orvill Farris and Joseph Farris.Honorary pallbearers are Golden 'Pete' Pace Jr., Charles Hayslip, James 'Pete' Faulkenbery, Jessie 'Buddy' Justice, Terry Justice, Herbie Farris and Henry 'Rat' Farris.Visitation will begin Friday December 14, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.In lieu of flowers the deceased wished for donations to be made to his wife and sons.The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Kahn, Dr. Showalter and dr. Narang, WRMC 4th floor staff and Caring Hands Hospice (Especially Melanie Loggins, Lynn, Dorothy and Tammy Brewster).
