Gola Raymond

Gola Raymond, age 95 of Batesville died Thursday December 20, 2007 at her home. She was born December 27, 1911 at Cave City, Arkansas to Charlie and Maud Daughrity. She was retired from the University of Michigan and Batesville School System. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Raymond, two brothers, Walden Daughrity and Walter Daughrity, two sisters, Ola Lassiter and Georgia Conyers.Survivors include a sister, Clarene Haney of Batesville, two nieces, Shirley Moore and Omalee Mitchell both of Batesville, two nephews, M. C. Conyers of Batesville and Harmon Daughrity of Dickson, TN and several great nieces and great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Saturday December 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at teh Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Rev. Stefan Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Friday December 21, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Jess Allen, Von Perkey, Kenneth Ray, Max Rutledge, Lynn Melton and Fred Shelton.
