Richard Andrew Kirk, age 30 of Cave City died Thursday December 27, 2007 at Cave City. He was born December 26, 1977 at Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was a Specialist in the Arkansas Army National Guard having received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Multinatonal Force and Observers, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M Device, Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorius Unit Award and the Army Good Conduct Medal.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norma Kirk, grandmother, Pat Cash adn grandfather, Jack Clakley.Survivors include his wife, Jessica Kirk of the home, two sons Marcus Kirk and Dakota Thompson both of Cave City, one daughter, Emily Kirk of Cave City, father and mother, Richard and Carolyn Kirk of Cave City and mother, Melinda Snyder of Stillwater, Oklahoma, one brother Dylan Kirk of Cave City, one sister, Rhonda Kirk of Batesville, his grandfather, Lawrence Kirk of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday January 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cave City with military chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery located on Forest Lane at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 6:oo until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Arkansas Army National Guard Honors Detail.Honorary pallbearers are SPC. Justin Clough, SPC, Jermey Bailey, SPC. Jason Nyari, SPC. Christian Kerlin, SSG Jay Tipton, SPC. George Chapman, Derek Hicks, Matt Kober, Billy Furrow, Chris Burns, Jason O'Brien and Brian Burleigh.
