Billy Ray Hughes, age 73 of Licking, Missouri died Monday January 7, 2008 at Houston, Missouri. He was born May 6, 1934 at Princeton, Kentucky to Archie Ray Hughes and Leda Naomi Riley Hughes. He was a retired transit driver for Dunklin County Transit in Malden, Missouri an dof the Southern Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father Robert Lee Jones who raised him after his father passed away.Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Frances K. (Tuggle) Hughes of the home, three sons David Hughes and friend Carol Homer and Ronald Maniscalco all of Saint Louis, Missouri, Tony Hughes and friends Crystal Kelly of Malden, Missouri, three daughters Peggy Lang and husband Paul of St. Louis, Missouri, Katherine Hughes and friend Lisa Mature and Trini Hughes all of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister Rowena Mahle of Wickenburg, Arizona, four grandchildren Christina DeLaRosa and husband Michael of Palmyra, Missouri, Ryan Lang and wife Abby of St. Louis, Missouri, Katherine Boch of St. Louis, Missouri and Danielle Hughes of St. Louis, Missouri, three great grandchildren Mary Jane Tucker of St. Louis, Julian DeLaRosa of Palmyra and Alexis Boch of St. Louis and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday January 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, Arkansas with Bro. Gene Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in the Parsley Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Wednesday January 9, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:L00 p.m.Pallbearers will be David Hughes, Tony Hughes, Ron Maniscalco, Paul Lang, Ryan Lang, Bryan Tuggle, Richard Tuggle and Katherine Hughes.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
