Glenn SMith age 78 of Cave City died Tuesday January 8, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 18, 1929 at Eutopia, Arkansas to Ike an Enid Smith. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Korea. He worked for House and House Construction in Batesville until he retired. He was an avid coon hunter, basketball and baseball fan and cattleman. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years Shirley Smith of the home, two sons Mark Smith and Robin Smith both of Cave City, one daughter Nancy Deckard of Batesville, three brothers Don Smith of Wenatchee, Washington, Jairl Smith of Wichita, Kansas and Joe Smith of Cave City, one sister Maggie Philpott of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, six grandchildren Byron Turner, Lauren SMith, Ethan Smith, Olivia Smith, Garrett Smith and Riley Smith, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday January 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutopia Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday January 10, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be his nephews, Gale Smith, Shane Smith, Dale Williams, Adam Robbins, Dustin Robbins and Jerry Medlock.Honorary pallbearers are Michael Light, Jerry Campbell, Bob Campbell, Ronnie McSpadden, James Sellers, Bill Lawson, Calvin Lassiter, Glen Ray Hawkins, Terry Hawkins, Howard House, Eddie House, Mark Lamberth and Dr. Andy Davidson.
