Bernice (Girtman) Marlin, age 79 of Cave City died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born November 27, 1928 at Cave City, Arkansas to William Oriville and Sarah Evelyn (Brewer) Girtman. She was a homemaker and a member of the East Side Southern Baptist Church in Cave City.She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Donald Jack Marlin, one brother O. C. Girtman and two sisters Wana Gene Price and Elwanda Dickey.Survivors include two daughters Rita Marlin of Holland, Ohio and J. Lonita Marlin of Cave City, one granddaughter Dana Irwin and husband Steve, three great grandchildren A.J. Irwin, Joshua Irwin and Jarrett Irwin all of Holland, Ohio, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Jerry McCall, Joey Carpenter, Todd Price, Mike Price, James Kenneth Price and Noil Lee Mahan.
