Frances Atkinson

Frances Atkinson, age 90 of Batesville died Monday, February 4, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born November 25, 1917 at Cushman, Arkansas to William Carlton and Margie Ovela (Collie) Atkinson. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked in Searcy, Hot Springs and Batesville and was a member of the West Baptist Church in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathleen McAdams.Survivors include three daughters, Jerre Vandenberg of Keokuk, Iowa, Martha Hodges of Batesville and Beverly Petty of Nunnelly, Tennessee, three sisters, Claudia Hedden and Ella Smith both of Batesville and Augusta Denison of Opelika, Alabama, six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday February 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with George Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.Pallbearers will be Andy Goodwin, Todd Burton, Casey Bailey, Brian Bailey, Jim Vandenberg, Raymon Hedges and David Brown.
