Leo Loyd Griffin

Leo Loyd Griffin, age 71 of Batesville died Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Batesville Health Care Center in Batesville. He was born September 29, 1936 at Lexa, Arkansas to Otto and Mildred Griffin. He was a U. S. Army veteran, retired from Con Agra Foods in Batesville and was a member of the Desha First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Horace Griffin and Johnny Griffin and one sister Evon Shelby.Survivors include his wife Betty Ann Griffin of the home, one son Dacey Derrick Griffin, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Desha First Baptist Church in Desha with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Brett Farris, Mark Fraser, Keith Harmon, Lee Harmon, David Kerlin and Dloyd Sparks.Honorary pallbearers are Dan Moody, Max Edwards, Glen Willis, Tim Hicks and Fred Bufford.
