Lavada Montean Cossey, age79 of Batesville died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born February 8, 1929 at Conway, Arkansas to Andrew Jackson and Geneva Bell (Pate) Linn. She was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Batesville and a member of teh rEhobeth Baptist Church in Moorefield.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lee Cossey, three sons, RObert Linn Cossey, Donnie Cossey and Clarence Lee Cossey and one granddaughter Tara Lee Webb.Survivors include one son, Chuck Cossey of Springfield, Illinois, two daughters, Johnnie Baker of Sulphur Rock and Sue Webb of Batesville, three brothers, Charles Linn, Max Shearer and Doug Shearer all of Pangburn, one sister, Geraldine Lucas of Little Rock, six grandchildren four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday March 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the REhobeth Baptist Church located at Moorefield with Chuck Cossey and Sheril Middleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located on Hwy. 25 in BAtesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brandon Webb, Johathan Anderson, Jason Anderson, Bill Baker, Mike Cossey-Frye and Scott Fredricks.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Witold Cerwinski, Zach Fredricks, Brandon Frye and Jordon Frye.
