Murl Dean Gilbert

Murl Dean Gilbert, age 67 of Pleasant Plains died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at a Searcy hospital. He was born February 3, 1941 at Pleasant Plains, Arkansas to Erie W. and Flora (Moore) Gilbert. He enjoyed trading cars.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Ethree Altom and Lenois Altom.Survivors include three brothers Edgar W. Gilbert of Austin, Roy Gilbert of Newark and Jimmy Gilbert of Pleasant Plains, two sisters Ruby Robison of Thida and Juanita Odell of Jonesboro, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.A graveside service will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Grove Cemetery located at Pleasant Plains. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.No visitation is planned.
