James Smithee

James 'Dub' Smithee , age 77 of Strawberry died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at his home. He was born December 1, 1930 at Clover Bend, Arkansas to Vernon and Lorine (Hall) Smithee. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a mechanic.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice Smithee and two sisters Betty Walker and Esther Stanley.Survivors include six sons, Jim Smithee, Ronald Smithee, Ricky Smithee, Keith Smithee, David Smithee and Kevin Smithee, two daughters Kim Smithee and Brenda Scott, four sisters Joyce Trout of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Ada Ricker of Loves Park, Illinois, Ida Oelschlager and Patricia Tate both of Machesney Park, Illinois, several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Old Prison Chapel located at 120 Hwy. 90, Knobel, Arkansas with Bro. Kelsey Vallance officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.
