Maurine Hargrove Cartwright

Maurine Hargrove Cartwright, age 83 of Batesville died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at her home. She was born October 31, 1924 at Rosie, Arkansas to Howard Monroe and Lillian (Inman) Hargrove. She retired from the International Shoe Factory in Batesville and was a member of West Baptist Church in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband L. T. Cartwright, two brothers M. J. Hargrove, Marcus Dean Hargrove, one sister Majesty Norman, paternal grandparents Eldridge and Sarah Hargrove and maternal grandparents John Lee and Leah Inman.Survivors include one brother Medford Hargrove of Newport, two sisters Mae Nell Clark of Batesville and Mablene Lewis of Plato, Missouri, several nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Brian Ryals officiating. Burial will follow in the Kyler Cemetery located at Southside with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be Monday July 21, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be James Head, Willie Allen, J. B. Presley, Dennie Apple, Robert Tate and Jeff Fuller.Honorary pallbearers are C. W. Stephens, Brandon Fuller, Larry D. Lewis, David R. Lewis and Aaron Clark.
