Oklan Reed Shelton

Oklan Reed Shelton, age 64 of Southside died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at her home. She was born September 28, 1943 at Banner, Arkansas to Omer John and Iris Otha Southerland Reed. She retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Shelton, five brothers and one sister.Survivors include one son, James Shelton of Denver, Colorado, one daughter, Cynthia French of Southside, one brother and two sisters, two grandchildren, Crystal Evans of Concord and Chaundra French of LaPorte, Texas, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Walter Swetnam officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Mt. Zion Cemetery located at Banner . Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Walton, Dr. Mohit Narang, Dr. William Goodin and the staff of Caring Hands Hospice.
