Jerry Roach

Jerry L. Roach, age 48 of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born September 18, 1960 at St. Charles, Illinois to R. V. and Opal Mae (Carter) Roach. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and self-employed truck driver and mechanic.He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Mae Roach.Survivors include his father R. V. Roach of Evening Shade, one daughter Debra Roach of Lepanto, four brothers, James Roach of Portia, Randy Roach of Viola, Ricky Roach of Springfield, Illinois and Tony Roach of Viola, two sisters Joyce Roach of Florence, Arizona and Shirley Carpenter of Poughkeepsie, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Friday, September 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell's Chapel Cemetery located near Poughkeepsie. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.The family will be available to receive friends at the R. V. Roach residence.
