Jim Western

Jim Western, age 58 of Batesville died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at a Memphis hospital. He was born October 12, 1949 at Newport, Arkansas to Alfred Gray and Nellie Ivonne Ball Western. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, an Industrial Automation Machinist, ordained minister of music and of the Assembly of God faith.He was preceded in death by his father Alfred Western, one brother Ronnie Lynn Western, his paternal grandparents Alfred E. and Myrtle Mae Western and his maternal grandparents Joe and Gladys Ball.Survivors include his mother Nellie Western of Batesville, one son Dan Western and wife Breann of Roscoe, Illinois, one daughter Tina Hurd of Roscoe, Illinois, three brothers, Mike Western and Randy Western both of Batesville and Donnie Western of Kentucky, one sister Karen Lumpkin and husband Eddie of Rosie, three grandsons Josh Western, Peyton Western and Evyn Western all of Roscoe, Illinois, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Memorial services will begin Tuesday October, 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with J.R. Tinkle officiating. A private family interment will be held at the Maple Springs Cemetery located near Oil Trough at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
