Garland D. Mobley Jr., age 47 of Cave City died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born April 28, 1961 at Baytown, Texas to Garland Delbert Mobley Sr. and Nina Jo Andrews Mobley. He was a commercial contractor, an insurance agent for White River Insurance in Cave City and a member of Maxville Church of Christ where he served as song leader.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Garland and Ozella Mobley and his maternal grandparents Curtis and Grace Andrews.Survivors include his wife Jamie Adams Mobley of the home, one son Edwin Dale Mobley of Ash Flat, his parents Dale and Nina Mobley of Cave City, two sisters, Jackie Hunter and Wendy Johnson both of Cave City, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Leonard Tharp and John Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Laddie Hunter, Austin Hunter, Jonathan Hunter, Dan Adams, Dave Conley and Adam Brown.Honorary pallbearers are Mike Graddy, David Lynn Jones, Lee Cooper, Doyan Huckabee, George Ring, Brock Johnson and Derek Johnson.
