Charles W. Henderson

Charles W. 'Buddy' Henderson, age 82 of Sulphur Rock died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born August 23, 1926 at Sulphur Rock, Arkansas to Carson and Veda (Weaver) Henderson. He was retired from Townsends of Arkansas in Batesville, after 48 years of service and enjoyed gardening. He attended Jesus Is the Way Church in Magness.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Veola Shaver Henderson, three brothers Denver Henderson, Pete Henderson and Junior Henderson and one grandson Tony Charles Wright.Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Gayle Henderson of Sulphur Rock, Debra Susan Wright of Batesville and Tammy Lynn Long of Salado, a sister Lois Faye Hagler of Sulphur Rock, five grandchildren, Misty Michelle Wilson and Sheri Lynn Jennings both of Batesville, Frainces 'Frankie' Charles Long, Teri Michelle Long and Susan Gayle Long all of Salado, two great grandchildren Londus Lane Jennings and Madison Lynn Jennings, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jesus Is the Way Church of Magness with Bro. Gaylon England officiating. Burial will follow in the Sulphur Rock Cemetery located at Sulphur Rock with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will begin Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Hershel Cunningham, Lonzo Moser, Nathan Moser, Donnie Malott, Mitchell Henderson and Clifford Wright.Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Long, Paul Mason, Lane Jennings and Jonathan Spivey.
