Harold D. Blount

Harold D. Blount, age 88 of Batesville, formerly of Floral died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born August 14, 1920 at Floral, Arkansas to Roe Shelby and Alice Lucinda Summers Blount. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran having served during World War II, a U.S. government employee and of the Methodist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Coy Blount, one sister, Christene Fraser, twin infant brother and sister, Jerry Lee Blount and Mary Ann Blount.Survivors include two brothers Clive Blount of Floral and Glen R Blount of Cabot, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Rev. Carl Ownbey officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery located near Floral with Rev. Roger Hook officiating the graveside service. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will Friday, November 21, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.Pallbearers will be Jim Fraser, Greg Blount, Brian Hook, Ryan Fraser, Jon Marbaise and Bob Bailey.
