Zana McLeod Hoggard

Zana McLeod Hoggard, age 96 of Batesville died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at her home. She was born November 26, 1912 in Cave City, Arkansas to Jasper W. and Nancy Johnson McLeod. She retired from the International Shoe Factory in Batesville and was of the Methodist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orville Hoggard, one son Leon Hoggard, four brothers Oarse McLeod, Elmer McLeod, Ransom McLeod and Claudia McLeod, three sisters Ruth Curtis, Eva Jarrett and Tommie Nichoels, a grandson Johnny Hoggard and a great grandson, Joshua Garrison.Survivors include one son, J. O. Hoggard of Rogers, one daughter Nina Hoggard Garrison of Batesville, two brothers Sidney McLeod of Mississippi and Roy McLeod of Hot Springs, two sisters Elsie Isreal of Texas and Lanora Holder of Indiana, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m,at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Sidney McLeod and Rev. Roy McLeod officiating. Burial will follow int he Fairview Cemtery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.Pallbearers will be Jeremy Harmon, Charlie Jones, Jimmy Hoggard, Dale King, Rick King and Dean King.Honorary pallbeaerers are Bart Hoggard, John Brown, W. O. McLeod, Eric Casey and Kent Hoggard.
