Helen L. Wells Williams

Helen L. Wells Williams, age 78 of Newark died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Batesville. She was born March 1, 1930 at McGehee, Arkansas to Rev. C. S. and Bertha Harbor Wells. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and was a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church at Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband W. A. Williams and one brother, Walter Wells.She was the loving mother of two daughters, Brinda Collins and husband Darrell of Newark and Pam Hix and husband Ray of Batesville, Other survivors include two brothers Joseph Wells of Newark and James Wells of Kentucky, two sisters, Esther Downs and Berniece Downs both of Kentucky, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Jim Derrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery located at Charlotte with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Darrell Burcham, Matt Hix, Jody Allen Hix, Michael Collins, Trevor Davis and Eric Mathis.Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hix, Larry Williams, Roger Whitener, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
