Vernon J W Humphries, age 23 of Cave City died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at his home. He was born October 22, 1985 at Newport, Arkansas to Vernon Howard Humphries and Carol Bradford.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Vernon Howard Humphries Jr., an uncle Steve Bradford and cousin, Jonathan Howard Ogren.Survivors include his wife, Laci Humphries and son, Hadyn Josiah Humphries both of Batesville, his father and step-mother Vernon and Van Humphries of Batesville, his mother, Carol Bradford of Batesville, paternal grandmother, Marie Humphries of Memphis, maternal grandparents, Odie and Dwan Bradford of Ethridge, Tennessee, one brother Adrian M. Humphries of Batesville, one sister Mandy Marie Humphries of Memphis, an uncle David Humphries of Memphis, two aunts, Bev Ogren of Minnesota and Terry Taylor of ethridge, Tennessee, three great uncles, Don Humphries and Ted Humphries both of Washington D. C., James Humphriesof Arlington, Tennessee, a great aunt Loretta Humphries of Arlington, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, February 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Larry Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Donnie Hightower, Jeremiah Miller, Jonathan Bunch, Robbie Lyons, Danny Crouch and Adrian Humphries.
