Maud Maxine Montgomery Hamlett, age 90 of Ada, Oklahoma, formerly of McHue, Arkansas died Saturday, February 7, 2009. She was born March 5, 1918 at Sandtown, Arkansas to William Ellsworth and Elizabeth Tugwell Montgomery. She married Homer Hamlett on May 4, 1936. She was a retired school teacher from Cave City School, having taught for forty-five years. She was a member of the Jamestown Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty years, Homer Hamlett and one sister Norine Hodge.Survivors include one son Ray Hamlett of Ada, Oklahoma, one daughter Wilma Manuel of McHue, six grandchildren, Sean Hamlett of Joplin, Missouri, Heather Tharp of Floral, Melissa Sullivan of Ada, Oklahoma, Sandy McGehee of Hernando, Mississippi, Linda Tolleson of Flag Staff, Arizona and Randy Manuel of McHue, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with J. W. Roach and James Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, February 9, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Mordecai Marlin, Perry Horn, Tom Inman, James Inman, John McGehee and Eric McGehee.
