Earmond Green

Earmond 'Smokey' Green, age 82 of Cave City died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born March 19, 1926 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Dolph C. and Audrey Hutchison Green. He was a U. S. Army veteran, retired from Arkansas State Forestry Service and of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patricia Green.Survivors include a daughter Lynn Chance and husband Chris, a son Eddie Green and wife Marianne all of Cave City, a sister Earma Laster of Sherwood, four grandchildren, Shelly Cartwright of Batesville, B. J. Chance of Sidney, Josh Chance of Cave City and Eddie Green, one great grandson Landon Cartwright of Batesville, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City Bro. Jeff Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, March 2, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Charles Hutchison, Teddy Green, Tommy Green, Steve Green, Randy Green and Randy Gann.Honorary pallbearers are his morning coffee drinking buddies.
