Jack L. Tipton

Jack L. Tipton age 78 of Batesville died Saturday March 7, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 8, 1930 at Jamestown, Arkansas to Raymond and Lillie Mae (Rorie) Tipton. He was retired from Conagra Foods in Batesville and was a member of the Eastside Family Worship Center in Batesville. He played the guitar and enjoyed music.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bill Tipton and one sister, Hazel Dene Tadlock.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Virginia Tipton of the home, one son, Danny Tipton of Evening Shade, two daughters, Sharon Berry and Lesa Burnett both of Batesville, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastside Family Worship Center in Batesville with Bro. Dan Turner, Bro. Billy Huff, Bro.Dewayne Stott and Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderbrook Cemetery located at Desha with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday March 9, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Johnny Beard, Tracy Middleton, Eddie Craig, Lynn Craig, Bob Tadlock and Chris Holt.
