Florence Gladys Tanner

Florence Gladys Tanner age 87 of Poughkeepsie died Friday May 15, 2009 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. She was born December 19, 1921 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to William and Cora (Green) Eaves. She was a retired cook for the Poughkeepsie School and a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Henry Snyder and L.J. Tanner, two sons, Barney Snyder and Paul Snyder; one brother, Deard Eaves; one sister, Madie Vale and one granddaughter, Deanna Bobo.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Clifton Spurlock of Evening Shade and Nina and Bill Austin of Newark; one daughter-in-law, Margie Snyder of Cave City, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday May 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Royce Pendergrass officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday May 19, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Kenny Snyder, Rodney Snyder, Brian Snyder, Joseph Snyder, Keith Porter, Matt Snyder, David Snyder and Dustin Denton.
