Carlon Gay

Carlon Gay, age 74 of Floral died Friday, May 22, 2009 at his home. He was born June 15, 1934 at Floral, Arkansas to Elvin Otto and Monnie Jo Harper Gay. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a farmer and was as an industrial maintenance worker. He was a member of the Floral Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Elvin Gay, Jr. and Bobby Harlan Gay.Survivors include his wife Dorothy Gay of the home, three sons, Kevin Gay and Bevin Gay both of Batesville and Gary Gay of Bella Vista, one daughter, Kim Lamons of Floral, two sisters, Peggy Taylor of Pangburn and Mickey Gay of Batesville, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Monday, May 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery located at Floral with Bro. Dickie Sutter officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Sunday, May 24, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Freddie Tharp, Roger Turner, Howard Combs, Ronnie Gay, Wesley Gay and Kent Taylor.Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Gay and Johnny Dale Litaker.
