Thestle Talley, age 73 of Ash Flat died Sunday May 24, 2009 at the Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab Center at Ash Flat. She was born June 5, 1935 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to John Fieldon and Naola Jane (Moody) Casey. She worked at the Sharp County Court House for 27 years. She was Deputy Circuit and County Clerk for 10 years and Deputy Treasurer for 8 years. The last 17 years she was co-owner of Casey's Ladies Apparel in Ash Flat. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bruce William Talley and two half-brothers Henry Casey and Roosevelt Casey.Survivors include one son, John Phil Talley and Rachel Banda of Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter Tammy Talley of Ash Flat, two sisters Emmaline Kunkel of Evening Shade and Edna Keller of Cave City, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade with Bro. John Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade.Pallbearers will be Donald Poulette, Doug Worthington Sr., T. J. 'Sonny' Powell, Alan Keller, Kevin Price and Joe Cotham.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade.
