Edward Marlin age 53 of Cave City died Monday June 1, 2009 at his home. He was born July 5, 1955 at Batesville, Arkansas to John and Irene (McGuire) Marlin. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife Becky Marlin of the home; two sons, Bevin Marlin of Cave City and Brandon Penn of Batesville; three daughters, Elizabeth Marlin of Clarksville, Tennessee, Stephanie Ortiz of Okinawa, Japan, and Amy Penn Koch of Bamburg, Germany; one brother, William Marlin of Cave City; two grandchildren, Bradley Penn and Lane Penn, both of Batesville; two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday June 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Steve Norris officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday June 2, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bacon, Loyd Dickey, Anthony Gillmore, Jimmy Beams, Ricky Ring and Paul Forst.Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Porter, Brandon Penn, Travis Penn, Greg Penn, and employees of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
