Leroy Johnson, age 76 of Evening Shade died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his home. He was born May 24, 1933 at Sardis, Mississippi to William Anderson and Anna (Pruitt) Johnson. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a molding technician for Zila in Batesville and attended Little Springs Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie.He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Leroy Johnson Jr., two brothers, Clyde Johnson and Wade Johnson, one sister, Beulah Bradley and three grandchildren.Survivors include his wife Bobbie Johnson of the home, six sons, Andy Johnson of Knoxville, Arkansas, Chuck Perrett of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Looney of Little Rock, Toby Johnson of Kingsland, Texas, Eric Johnson of Evening Shade and Jason Johnson of Kingsland, Texas, three daughters, Brenda Morse of Cabot, Mary Fisher of Little Rock and Stacie Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas, one brother, Woodrow Johnson of Strawberry, one sister, Willie Jackson of Batesville, Mississippi, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. W. E. Norris, Bro. Jim Pagan and Bro. Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Tommy Pagan, Mike Pagan, James Bradley, Ikey Roof and Ronnie Branscum.Honorary pallbearers are Euell Heath, Ray Runsick, Jim Hooten, Lloyd Huckabee, Darrell Parsley, Dean Parsley, Raymond Davis and Terry Hash.
