Robert Lucy

Robert 'Pete' Lucy, age 47 of Southside died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born October 25, 1961 at Mishawaka, Indiana to Henry Robert and Rose Irene Branscum Lucy. He enjoyed trading antique cars and was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, maternal grandparents, Elbert and Pearl Branscum and paternal grandparents, Bob and Tressie Lucy.Survivors include his wife Tabitha Lucy, one son, Anthony 'Tony' Hughes-Lucy, and one daughter, Precious Lucy all of the home, two brothers, William Lucy of Salado and Buddy Lucy of Cushman, three sisters, Tressie Louise Bennett of Spring Mill, Nettie Hackworth of Newark and Penny Jackson of Pleasant Plains, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Concord with Blake Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery located at Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Friday, July 10, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Chris Lucy, Charles Jackson, Logan Branscum, Jody McDougal, Marty Lantz and Steve Reiman.Honorary pallbearers are David Strother, Doug Strother, Dr. Seth Barnes and Jerry Brightwell.
