Joe Edward Ford

Joe Edward Ford age 79 of Cave City died Friday August 7, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born November 22, 1929 in Cave City, Arkansas to Hassel and Agnes Howard Ford. He was united in marriage to Sue Williams Ford in November 1955. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Emma Charlene Ford.Survivors include his wife, Sue Williams Ford of the home, one son, Darrel Edward Ford of Cave City, one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Bays of Cabot, one grandson, Jason Bays of Jonesboro, one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Millard Goff of Fayetteville, one brother, Kenneth Ford of Newport, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday August 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Raymond Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Sunday August 9, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Chad Wooldridge, Max Hunter, Michael Lassiter, Gary Perkey, Wendell Perkey and Jerry Foley.Honorary pallbearers are C.W. Perkey, F.K. Willmuth, Bob Campbell, Tom Penn, Velmus Bell, Jimmy Rex Williams, Roy Provence, Tom Foley and John Bridges.
