Johnny Wayne Carter, age 58 of Cave City died Friday, August 7, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born July 30, 1951 at Batesville, Arkansas to Billy U. L. and Jeanne Mae Milligan Carter. He was a self-employed farmer, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and attending ball games. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Mae Milligan Carter.Survivors include his wife Wanda Stout Carter of the home, one son Tim Carter of Cave City, two daughters, Lori Carter Laman and Tracy Carter of Cave City, his father and step mother, Billy and Cleva Carter of Sandtown, one brother Billy George Carter of Sidney, three grandchildren, Grayson Carter, Carter Laman and Lawson Barker all of Cave city, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, August 10, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church.Pallbearers will be Danny Wilkes, Michael Stout, Norris Dee Sandridge, Ronnie Perkey, Danny Stout, Ronnie Ashley, Danny Carter and Russell Fowler.Honorary pallbearers are Donald Simmons, Randy Hodges, Larry Brown and Steven Green.
