Mary Martha Roach

Mary Martha Roach, age 77 of Strawberry died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at a Batesville hospital. She was born October 23, 1931 at Stegall, Arkansas to George and Rosie Boone Brown. She was retired from Gencorp Automotive in Batesville, enjoyed fishing and playing with her dog. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Poughkeepsie.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Broyles and a step-son Johnny Roach.Survivors include three sons, Olen Broyles of Calamine, Jeff Broyles of Strawberry and Aarol Broyles of Murfreesboro, two step-sons, Sam Broyles and Benny Broyles, two step-daughters, Kathy Norrell and Margaret White, four brothers, Kenneth Brown of Jonesboro, Ed Brown of Poughkeepsie, Myron Brown of Calamine and Ronald Brown of Smithville, four sisters, Ellen Barner of Tuckerman, Betty Shelly and Connie Prince of Newport and Kitty Jewell of Amagon, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery located at Jesup with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Wayne Brown, George Brown, Jamie Brown, Gary Blackshear, Joshua Shaw and Aaron Mobley.Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Broyles, Jerry Brown and Leonard Shaw.
