Ralph Harrison Piety Sr.

Ralph Harrison Piety Sr., age 85 of Floral died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Floral. He was born July 1, 1924 at Des Arc, Arkansas to Ralph Howard and Edith Sears Piety. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, a cattle farmer and retired from construction work. He was a member of the American Legion and of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Edward Piety, one sister Mary Ruth Kunkel and one granddaughter, Nicole Piety.Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Dorothy Grammer Piety of the home, two sons, Ralph Piety Jr. and wife Brenda, James E. Piety and wife Kay Piety all of Floral, two daughters, Dorothea Mulhollen and husband Randy of Owensboro, KY and Kimberly Piety Spence of Floral, eight grandchildren, Bonnie Reed of Floral, Justin Mulhollen of Owensboro, KY, Ralph Piety III of Searcy, John Piety of Floral, Zach Piety of Batesville, Kevin Mulhollen of Owensboro, KY, Andrea Mulhollen of Boling Green, KY and Damon Spence of Floral, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Southside with Bro. Kenneth Altom officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery located at Cedar Grove with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Friday, September 11, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Justin Mulhollen, Tommy Reed, Ralph Piety III, John Piety, Kevin Mulhollen, Damon Spence Jr., and Zach Piety.Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Reed Jr., Cody Scheffler, Chance Gray and Brittan Piety.
