Jim M. Clark, age 91 of Batesville died Sunday, September 13, 2009. He was born September 9, 1918 in Corinth, Mississippi to J.E. and Mirandia Clark. He was an avid sportsman and a businessman who operated Clarks Army Navy Store in Jonesboro, Trumann and Batesville for over 50 years. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge. He was a faithful member of West Baptist Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Irene Clark; one son, Larry Clark; two brothers, Arness Clark and Jessie Clark; three sisters, Edna Mills, Marie Smith and Lola May.Survivors include two sons and their wives, Mike and Pam Clark of Cave City and Tommy and Becky Clark of Batesville; four grandchildren, Jacob and Heather Clark and Caleb Clark of Batesville, Jesse and Tiffany Shoemaker of Batesville and Shana and Josh McAnally of Mountain Home; two great grandchildren, Alivia McAnally of Mountain Home and Taryn Shoemaker of Batesville; two sisters, Doris Woodruff and Madeline Smith of Corinth, Mississippi, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Bob Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Jacob Clark, Caleb Clark, Jesse Shoemaker, Jim Watkins, Bill Cash and Bill Littleton.Honorary pallbearers are Olan Rougeau, Dr. Robert Walton, Dr. J.E. Lytle, Dr. Bill Henry, Wesley Forshee and Rev. Elvis Smith.
