Nellie Mae Smith Lusk, age 102, of Jamestown, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Center at Southside. She was born October 25, 1906 at Forrest City, Arkansas, to Harding and Dora Smith. She married Eual Lusk on January 27, 1925. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Jamestown where she served as an elder until it closed. She then attended the Jamestown United Methodist Church. Shewas a member of the Extension Homemakers Club at Jamestown for over 75 years.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Carlton Lusk and Arlon Lusk; four brothers; two sisters; one grandson, Randy Price and one great granddaughter, Laurie Lawrence.Survivors include one daughter, Eualene Price of Bethesda; three granddaughters, Carolyn Slisher of Bethesda, June Jeffries of Batesville and Carmen Manke of McHue; four great grandchildren, Kris Ursin, Ed Slisher, Heather Jeffries and Justin Michel; six great great grandchildren, Amber Ursin, Nicole Ursin, Logan Slisher, Lacey Slisher, Tim Lawrence and Joey Michel; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Rev. James Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery located at Locust Grove with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday, October 19, 2009, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.Honorary pallbearers are Orville Elumbaugh, Bruce Kelley and Ben Kelley.
