Jane Norris McHalffey

Jane Norris McHalffey age 76 of Poughkeepsie died Friday October 23, 2009 at her home. She was born January 22, 1933 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Jim and Luna Kent Norris. She was a homemaker and a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buel McHalffey, one son, Chris McHalffey, one brother, Jim T. Norris and two sisters, Lorena Watters and Janet Parker.Survivors include two sons, Ron McHalffey and his wife Summer of Melbourne and Donnie McHalffey of Poughkeepsie; five daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Jackie Teague of Bay, Sue and David Ashlock of Jonesboro, Brenda and Craig Mays of Little Rock, Debbie and James Penna of Bay Minette, Alabama and Stephanie and David Owens of Benton; one sister, Vera McHalffey of Jonesboro, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday October 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Troy Henley officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Sunday October 25, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Lance Ashlock, Brian Penna, Joshua Mays, Jared McHalffey, Spencer Owens and Eric Norris.Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
