James H. McDougal

James H. Mc Dougal, age 68 of Tatum, New Mexico (formerly of Pleasant Plains) died Thursday October 22, 2009 at Lubbock, Texas. He was born December 7, 1940 at Hickory Flat, Arkansas to Joseph and Laura Meharg McDougal. He was a retired truck driver having worked for Martin Farms in Pleasant Plains for many years. He also worked for Gandy Corp. and Watson Oil Fields in Tatum, New Mexico.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rebecca McDougal; two brothers, David McDougal and Daniel McDougal; three sisters, Margie Ellis, Mary Jane McDougal and Goldie Floyd and one nephew, Lloyd McDougal.Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Lynskey of White Face, Texas and Loretta Tucker of Tatum, New Mexico; one brother, Adolphus McDougal of Wilburn; six grandchildren, Danielle Cole, Kari Lynskey, Aaron Lynskey, Rebecca Tucker, Darby Tucker and Jason Tucker; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Eddie Meharg officiating. Burial will follow in the York Cemetery located at Marcella with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday, October 26, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Gene Lynskey, Nicholas Cole, Joe McDougal, Steve McDougal, Henry Tucker and Anthony Huges.Honary pallbearers are Carl Gene Floyd, Jody McDougal, John McDougal, Richard McDougal and Kenneth McDougal.
