Virginia Madeline 'Tootsie' Kunkel, age 79 of Cave City, died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at her home. She was born December 8, 1929 at Berryville, Arkansas to Joseph Ruby and Eunice Elizabeth Peterson Gosnell. She had worked for International Shoe Factory in Batesville, was a homemaker, and a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, David F. 'Pug' Kunkel; one brother, Billy Grady; and one sister, Peggy Rogers.Survivors include one son, David Kunkel of Cave City; two daughters, Sue Parrish and Jo Watson, both of Cave City; three sisters, Mary Stone and Hester Hinson both of Kokomo, Indiana, and Ruby George of Cave City; six grandchildren, Thomas Broughton, Robbie Watson, Aaron Watson, Brittany Parrish, and Keith Kunkel all of Cave City, and Tamara Corbitt of Newark; one great-granddaughter, Dixie Watson of Cave City; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located at Cave City with Wesley Wren officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Friday, November 6, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Robert Watson, David Kunkel, Robbie Watson, Thomas Broughton, Aaron Watson, and Keith Kunkel.
