Kenneth W. Smith

Keneth W. Smith, age 73, of Batesville, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born December 16, 1935 at Topeka, Kansas to Roy Albert and Laura Evelyn Pretty Smith. He retired from National Welding Supply in Batesville after 26 years of service and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Smith and Harold Smith and one sister, Helen Smith.Survivors include two sons, Kenny Smith of Batesville and Steven Smith of Magness; two daughters, Wilma Bobbie Mullins and Laura Lee Smith both of Batesville; three brothers, Myron Smith of Abingdon, Maryland, Marvin Smith of Texas and Don Smith of Moorefield; one sister, Gracie Parish of Ball, Louisiana; a special friend, Libby Johnson of Batesville; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bill Williamson and Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sulphur Rock Cemetery located at Sulphur Rock with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday, November 16, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Dustin Smith, Justin Smith, Roy Mullins, Brian Smith, Rusty Smith and Donald Smith.Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Smith, Chris Pretty and Joseph Neist.
