Gertrude Tackett

Gertrude Tackett, age 89 of Pleasant Plains died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home. She was born July 31, 1920 at Mount Pisgah, Arkansas to Thadus and Maybelle Pittman Oliver. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Tackett, two brothers, Norman Oliver and Ryley Oliver and a sister, Pauline Furr.Survivors include a son, Floyd Tackett of Batesville, two daughters, Wanda Evridge of Pleasant Plains and Martha McDonald of Hooks, Texas, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains with Bro. Reggie Walling officiating. Burial will follow in the Putman Cemetery located in Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
