William 'Billy' Evans, age 63 of Batesville, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City. He was born December 31, 1945 at Dyess, Arkansas to William E. and Lucille Balch Evans. He was an Arkansas Army National Guard veteran, a retired electrician for Conagra Foods in Batesville and of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Pete Evans, Don Evans and Jerry Evans and one sister, Berniece Morris.Survivors include one son, Darin Evans of Batesville; one daughter, Mandy Evans of Cave City; one brother, Tommy Evans of Virginia; one sister, Louise Rogers of Raytown, Missouri; three grandsons, Darin Evans II, Ethan Evans, and Chaber Rone all of Batesville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services begin Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel located in Cave City, with Bro. Jim Derrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery located at Mount Pleasant with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Larry Yeager, Darrell White, Larry Evans, Randy Rogers, Doug Walkenhorst, Ellis Tuten, Doug Evans and Ricky Rogers.Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons, Darin Evans II, Ethan Evans, and Chaber Rone.
