Allan Ray 'Ray-Bob' Hightower, age 78 of Sidney, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Pioneer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne. He was born February 13, 1931 at Sidney, Arkansas, to Golden and Ethel Stroud Hightower. He was a U.S. Marine and U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge #611 at Sidney. He was a retired farmer.He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Hubert Hightower, W.J. Hightower, Ewell Hightower and Prentice Hightower and one sister, Dena Faye Hightower.Survivors include one son, Tim Hightower of Bolivar, Missouri; one daughter, Kim Bridgman of Floral; one sister, Neola London of Melbourne; six grandchildren, Danielle Bridgman and Jared Bridgman both of Floral, Caleb Hightower, Samantha Elizabeth Hightower, Jaden Hightower and Grace Hightower all of Bolivar, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Cemetery located at Sidney with Bro. Joe Jackson officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Friday, December 4, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Honorary pallbearers are Bill Little, Jeff Qualls, Roy Mynatt, Delmus Caraway, and Steve and Debbie Stewart.
