Don L. Gibbs

Don L. Gibbs age 68 of Batesville died Friday December 25, 2009 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born October 25, 1941 in the Cave Creek Community to Lawerance 'L.J.' and Mary (St. John) Gibbs. He was a farmer and a member of the New Faith Gospel Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gene Laverle Gibbs and Junior Oneal Gibbs, paternal grandparents, George and Ida Gibbs and maternal grandparents, Frank and Lula St. John.Survivors include two brothers, Darrell Gibbs and Archie Gibbs both of Batesville; two sisters, Ramona Rutledge of Batesville and Janice Beitler of Cave City; three nieces, Anne Brooks and Kim Martin both of Batesville and Shannon Clark of Cave City; one nephew, Wayne Gibbs of Batesville and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday December 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Faith Gospel Church in Batesville with Bro. Ira Brokaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery located near Cushman with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Sunday December 27, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Brandon Clark, Johnny Coles, Wayne Gibbs, R.B. Melton, Shane Martin and Robert Melton.Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Coles, William Mullins and David Brewer.
